Lily, Single mother

Lily is a 41-year-old single mother navigating the onset of breast cancer treatment while caring for her 8-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. Since moving to Israel in 2015, she has built a life without a local support system, relying on her income as a cleaner to sustain her small household. Now, forced to stop working to undergo life-saving care, she faces the exhausting challenge of managing her own health and the intensive needs of her son entirely on her own. A grant from the Lemonade Fund provided a critical lifeline, allowing Lily to hire the specialized childcare and household assistance necessary to keep her family functioning during her treatment. By bridging this gap, the Lemonade Fund ensures Lily no longer faces her battle alone, providing the stability and dignity her family needs to weather this crisis.
